Pies & Pints (Lincoln)

Seeking out ways to forget about a bad home football loss?  Look no further then soaking up those tears with Pizza and Beer.  We ventured into the Heymarket in historic downtown Lincoln to visit a recently opened basement shop called Pints & Pies.
As far as pizzaria's with tap selections go, this one wasn't the best in Lincoln but it has it's charming qualities.  For starters it is reasonably priced for the portion sizes.  It also has a good blend of standby favorite toppings and new experimental ones.  We dined on a selection of blends, including a spicy blend featuring Jalapenos, Tobasco, and Hot sausage, and one all cheese variety featuring provolone, mozzarella, and mac&cheese.
My personal favorite was the alfredo, mushroom, and meat variety with a very smooth finish to it.  The Spicey blend was exceptional as well but be warned, it may be difficult to put back more than one or two slices after the heat sets in.  Drink selection is favorable too with 3 dollar Tallboys to entertain the college crowds, but if you going for the "Pint" avenue some beers do run a little steep.   If i was a food critic i'd give this place a 3 out of 5.  But i'm not, so see for yourself, don't take my word for it.
